I just graduated from a nursing program and I'm feeling super anxious. Its like a constant knot in my chest while anticipating the NCLEX. How long does it take to receive your ATT letter after submitting everything? Please help ?

Well, it doesn't really matter when u graduated, it only matters when ur school mailed in ur paperwork. I'm in CA and it took about 2.5 months after the school sent in paperwork. Once You get the go ahead from BON u can register with pearson and pay the $200. after u will get ur receipt and ATT within minutes. Testing dates will be available right away if u want or u can register for later days. Hope his helps

Thx sooo much :) Its very helpful.

I'm in IL. Here is my timeline:

5/18 - graduated

5/20 - school submitted papers to PearsonVue

6/12 - received ATT

By the time I received my ATT, July was the first date I could register for :(

Graduated 5/17

School sent paperwork 5/24

ATT rec'd 5/31 (ATT good through 8/31)

The earliest opening for testing was late June, I scheduled my NCLEX-RN for that date, and changed it 3 times afterward to finally get a test date for the NCLEX on 6/6.

We were told to do the necessary paperwork and pay the fees ASAP that way the info was there when the State rec'd our paperwork from the school.

It's not so much about how long it takes Pearson Vue to issue the ATT but all about when your school sends the required paperwork to the State BON.

For my LPN ATT, I know it was almost instantly from when the State BON gave the 'ok' for us to test that Pearson Vue issued the ATT (via email). I had been waiting quite some time (we were told if we didn't get the ATT within X days or whatever it was to call). Ther was a problem and the lady at the BON corrected it for me as I was on the phone with her. She told me to check my email in 5 minutes or so and my ATT should be there. I was still on the phone with her when I checked my email and my ATT from Pearson was there.

***take note, be SURE to provide an email address on the paperwork/online app for Pearson Vue so that they email your ATT to you,, if you don't they will send it regular mail and that will delay you in getting your ATT.

thx. I will definitely do that.

I finished school on December 10, 2012. Received my ATT on April 6, 2013. A majority of my classmates received theirs the same day!

It depends on when your school sends your stuff out and if you have anything that will hold it back - like traffic tickets, criminal records, problems with your legal name, address changes.

Some of my classmates who finished in December have yet to receive their ATT due to some of those problems.

This is in California for LVN.

Wow. I actually spoke to an application processor at my bon and he told me it may be another 10 days before my application is processed since its peak testing season right now. That totally sucks. On the other hand at least I have more time to study. However, I decided to take a two day break from the past two weeks of die hard studying. Thanks for your input.

What state are you located in?

I am in California, my timeline:

June 3- Graduated

June 10- Mailed application

June 12- Paid Pearson Vue

June 25- School mailed transcripts, etc

August 6- got ATT

Scheduled to test August 29, Pray for me!!!!

Good luck to you! Hope it happens soon for you!

I'm in Ga. Two of my classmates have tested already. I don't know why its taking so long to process mine. I will pray for you and I'm sure you will be successful ? The national average is an 85% pass rate on first try. I like those odds ? Keep me posted.

Our school (in GA) had us apply for the GA BON, apply for NCLEX, pay all fees, do fingerprinting, background check, everything in early April. That way, everything would be done well before the school sent paperwork to Pearsonvue.

Our graduation was May 12th, the school sent in our paperwork on May 13th and I got my ATT on May 13th, tested June 12th and passed, thankfully. Others in my class didn't get their ATT as quickly as I did and no one seems to know why. They seemed to be giving them out in bunches. Some hadn't done all the required things beforehand and that held them up but some had and still didn't get their ATT as quickly as I did.

Others in my class had their scores held up because of paperwork issues at the BON, such as name changes, them claiming they hadn't gotten a copy of the person's driver's license (my friend sent hers in 5 times, using different methods), etc. The hold ups were crazy. At least one person I know drove down to Macon to clear the mess up so they could get their license number. Mine went smoothly. My license number showed up on June 13th,

Thanks! Hope you hear from them soon! With those odds we will pass!!
