How long did it take you to get a job?

i just passed the nclex and got my license. i'm wondering how long does it usually take to get a job if one has no experience at all. will it be to my disadvantage that i'm a foreign grad?

I graduate in October and applied in April and went for an interview and was hired on the spot. But I have worked in the hospital fo 7 years prior to that. I did accept the job but then got upset because a children's hospital here called me a week later with a NICU position. But I figured that I could always transfer because the hospitals are in the same system.
