How long did you stay?!

How long did you stay at your first nursing job, and if it wasn't a med-surg position.. how long did you stay on the med-surg floor before you ventured out? please tell me about your experience :)

Stayed in med/surg as my first job for 14 months.

It was not my first choice of job, but during a recession, a nurse cannot be picky.

I moved to my current ICU job where I have been for the past 11 years.
