Hi Christy, ummmm......I haven't worked as a nurse yet. Next week I hope to get a job. There are two rual hospitals that want to interview me. As an LPN, my choices are limited, especially for a new grad. I let you know when I get hired.
That's awesome! Let me know how you like it as well k? Looking forward to hearing,
Christy
Hi Christy! I've been an RN for a little over a year, but I was an aide for four years before that. I have always worked in med-surge, but I do not like it. I liked it "okay" when I was an aide, but as a nurse, I don't like the floor that I work on because I see SO MANY different things. I want to specialize, and the area that I am most interested in is psychiatric nursing. It's where I feel the most confortable. I loved my psychiatric rotation; I also loved getting pulled to the psychiatric unit, when my hospital used to have one.
Also, I live in Lawrenceburg, KY. About 25 minutes from Lexington, and about 45 minutes from Louisville.

hi all!
i've posted on this board a few times and was wondering how long you've been a nurse and where in the country are you nursing? i'm just a curious student. what area are you in? is it your favorite area or position and if not what is your favorite area? do you like your co-workers? what would you change about your personal working situation if you could??? if this has been posted before, i apologize. i'm anxiously awaiting responses! :)
