During nursing school? I was in school 3/4 time this past semester plus I worked 24-27 hours per week. Last night, I just went hog wild in cleaning my house......I scrubed and organized and scrubbed some more. Would my house be totally trashed when I get into nursing school? I have a 1.5 year old and a 6 year old. My husband means well but he dosen't really have a clue as to how I like things. I just need to let thing be huh? I know I have to keep the bathrooms (3 of em) and the kitchen clean....I mean that is where we can get the most germs right? Everything else...is it...see it in the spring?:uhoh21:
I pay someone else.
On the other days, I have a list posted of various things I want done (dishwasher loaded, put away, basket of laundry folded and put away, vacuuming) with a price. Any kid can choose any chore and keep a list on the fridge and earn money. Only caveat is can't claim to do a chore the day after the cleaning lady does it!

Guys! None of you ever needs to feel bad about your housework. My sister wins the all time top prize for household mess--ever. When Clean House first aired, I told my mother that we needed to call them and nominate my sister. I think Clean House would have turned her down. She'll tell me she cleans, but I don't know how. She literally has cow paths through her house. She has junk piled up on all the furniture. She and her husband say it's "collectibles". Right. It's junk. You can only sit on the couch (and your legs are crammed up against more junk piled up in front of the couch), the chair at the desk, and one lonely chair at the kitchen table. 3/4 of the kitchen table is piled high with junk. She has two bathrooms. The bathtub in one of the bathrooms is totally filled to the ceiling with junk so is never used. I want to be there if they ever clean it out and they turn on the spigot to see what comes out of the pipe. She has an upright piano in her son's bedroom and it is piled to the ceiling with junk that isn't even music! There's no room to pull the piano bench out. You have to sit down, pull your legs up, turn and swing your legs over and down to sit at the keyboard and reach the pedals. We should have known something was wrong with her and her new husband years ago when she first married him. At that time, he had an old Thunderbird (the car) completely disassembled and all the pieces scattered around what is their son's bedroom today.
I believe her house is a firetrap. If there is ever a fire in there, they'll never get it out. If we ever have a big earthquake they'll need a bulldozer to move all the crap out of the way. Years ago, they had the breakfront in their living room bolted to the wall to prevent it from falling over during an earthquake. Ha! Ha! Ha! You can barely find the breakfront with all the junk around it these days! :smackingf I often wonder how much money they could get if they hauled all that junk out and had a garage sale. It would probably have to be done over weeks because there isn't enough room in their front yard for all this crap.
