How do I look for jobs outside of my city?

The internet has really revolutionized looking for jobs -- most newspapers, even small-town rural newspapers, now have websites that include their classified ads (at least, the ones in my area do). My state has a website for state employment that lists every available state job everywhere in the state (and you can sort them by county, so it's easy to look for a particular community/area), and I'm sure most, if not all, other states have the same type of thing. The US government has a website, http://www.usajobs.gov, that lets you look for all the federal government jobs by zip code. Most all hospitals, even small community hospitals, have websites that include a listing of their job openings. There are lots of ways to look for work in areas other than your own by using the 'net.

Do a Google search for hospitals in the city you want to work in. For instance, for hospitals in Atlanta, do a search on "Atlanta hospitals". It should bring up a number of hospitals in the city. Then, just go to each hospital's website. All that I have looked at have had their job opportunities listed on their website.

Excellent advice!! Most hospitals these days won't even bother to talk to you until you have submitted an online application anyway. I would suggest starting out using the method that Tango mentions; fill out the online apps (even if they don't have graduate nurse positions listed) and then following up with phone calls or visits.
