How do I find out if the CUE's I want to take are accepted by my bon? I was looking at some good ones from flex but it is in california and I have my license in another state. How do I find out if my state will accept these CEU's or does every state accept these? I haven't taken anything out of state before and before that I was taking college courses which counted. One of the courses is a wound closure and suturing course. Are RN's allowed to suture wounds? I had done this in the military but I didnt think this was allowed as an RN? The course is open to RNs and says it will teach suturing and practice.

It's all about accreditation. Look up the BON that will be deciding if the CEs are acceptable and the site will have which accreditation organization or organizations are accepted to approve of CE sites/courses. Then the sites/courses themselves will advertise who they have accreditation with/from ... match it up and you're good to go.

I do pearlsReview.com even though in my state we don't need CEs.

I looked it up on the BON website and it is very vague. I want to insure that they will be accepted should I be audited. it states as follows, (i am paraphrasing a bit) approved by a credentialing agency accredited by the National commision for certifying agencies. or successful completion of a course related to nursing, given aby a school, college, or university accredited by the department of education (that is what I did the other years) s or successful completion of a course in a doctoral degree program which has a reserearch program - not there yet. etc etc and several other things such as develop or teaching curriculum for a college nursing program etc. So, I am not in a DR program etc and I need a few more credits, found two courses I would like to take. I am in another state. But I want to take this course at flex ed, I cannot see who credentials them. What I wanted to know is how I find out possibly who crediantials them, if anyone knows, or if there is a list of agencies etc. I had printed the entired document on CEU's by my bon prior to this but there is nothing specific to this. As for asking the bon directly, I had actually tried to call them, it is impossible to get through to them and I tried emailing them to no avail. I was hoping there might be a list. Just because they are credentialed in one state, does that mean they are credentialed in another?
