How do I file Sexual Harassment against a Dr

Published

There is this doctor that is always being inappropriate. No matter how many times the female staff have written him up he continues to be inappropriate. Many examples: telling a nurse she has nice breast, talking about private parts being in other private parts, "you have very soft and delicate skin", "when are you going to have my baby", etc...

I just started working there 6 months ago and just these past 2 wks he has been starting the same crap with me. The first time he grabbed my hand and called me his mistress ....ummmm I DON'T THINK SO....and I wrote him up.

The second time he put his hand on my stomach and said "you have a very flat stomach"....eww don't touch me...and I wrote him up. :crying2:

The third time he stated that my skin is the color of brown sugar and when will he be able to satisfy his sweet tooth!......I stated to him that was inappropriate and wrote him up! Even gave him a copy!!!!

Also wrote a note to the manager and higher ups! But my peers keep telling me that all the complaints that have been made against him has fallen on deaf ears and mine will most likely too!

I am so frustrated that no disciplinary action has been done against this F***en Jerk!!!!

I am so sorry you are experiencing this jerk at work. We can't give legal advice here and pursuing sexual harassment can be difficult so before you interfere with your own complaint...contact a lawyer.

Face to face meeting with HR is the way to go. Who knows how far your write ups went in the system. Make an appointment and meet with HR with your documentation. They cannot ignore you then.

I would also start keeping a diary of every inapropriate comment or touch you experience. Not only of those he does to you but those you actually witness him doing to others. Keep very detailed notes...day, time, who involved, what said or done, etc.

So much training to be a Dr. so little maturity. Its too bad you can't just deck him every time he does that. I think more hospitals need to be unionized or SOMETHING to make HR treat nurses with more respect. I've heard way too many stories like this from other RN's that I respect. (I'm a student btw, not in the career yet)

pretty sure we are not supposed to give legal advice on this web site.

Although, I must admit his pick up lines are extremely corny.

As others have posted, we cannot give legal advice. You have definitely been wronged and need to seek legal counsel as asoo as possible.

We wish you luck as you put a stop to this jerk's harassment.
