I am currently a student in texas and I have to make a decision wether to apply for LVN or RN. I know I could get in to LVN and I might be able to get into the RN program. But I was wondering if I did make the choice to go for my LVN first is it hard to go to work as an LVN and go to school at the same time? Thanks!

I sure can't speak from personal experience, but the ones I know made the transition pretty seamlessly. Good luck.

I did it and I don't regret it. It was the only way I could afford school..to work my way through. And I had great OJT reinforcement of my knowledge. :)
Today many hospitals work with tuition reimbursement plans as well...you should check that out too. :)
Good luck to you!

I also did it. Worked well for me. I wouldn't change the way I did it for a minute.
Best wishes!
