How are your grades posted?

Like when you make a 89.9 what does your instructor actually give you? Our instructor drops of any thing after decimal really aggravates me because that's my grade thats what I made not really fair to take off that .9 and .6 :/ it does add up!

Anything below an 80 in my program is failing. If you make an 89.9, it's just that. There is no rounding up or down.

ilovepatho, I'm in Illinois...are you?

Our program doesn't round up or down. Your points are as is. We have to have 70% to pass. However, if your test grade is below 75%, you are required to attend tutoring. We also have a medication math test each semester that your required to make 100% on or you will be dropped regardless of your grade. You also don't have the option to not submit assignments and take a zero. If you don't have every assignment turned in, you will not pass, regardless of your grade.

+1.

Best post of the thread!

Yup! Whining is whining, regardless of how it initially presented. Some teachers round, some don't. It is a fact of life and their sole prerogative as to how they want to proceed with grades. If you don't like a particular prof's grading policy, then find another or simply 'suck it up' if you cannot... or drop out of nursing....

We have the same thing for the medication tests and you must turn in everything no matter you're score.

What semester are you in?

My professors have always put at least 1-2 numbers behind the decimal point...they usually just round up once you hit a .5 or better.
