How to find a nurse to rent a room to

Published

I just recently relocated about 40 minutes outside of Atlanta. In orientation today I was talking with a traveler nurse, since I have always been interested in traveling. I think it's a good idea to find a traveler to rent a room to. I have 2 extra rooms on my lower level . Where would be a good place to advertise at?

Craigslist/VRBO/Homeaway/airBnB ad with "travel Nurse" in the title somewhere. You will have best luck if you make it an all inclusive rate and keep the room furnished. Most people travel with linens but not beds, dressers, couches. I would even suggest making the second room into another small living area with a TV, microwave, mini fridge just so they can have some privacy(I would want that) plus access to the real stuff when needed. You will have to note which hospitals you are within 30 minutes off. People that take call have to be a certain distance to the hospitals....

You can also give your info to HR or staffing. Many hospitals maintain a list of local housing and give it to staffing agencies.

There are FB groups just for travel nurses and some even specifically for yravel nurse housing. Just type in The Gypsy Nurse or Travel RN and a bunch should pop up.
