cookie monster would feel right at home at community hospital in southwest oklahoma city.
that’s because patients are offered fresh-baked treats each evening, as the smell of chocolate chip cookies wafts through the halls.

I think the guy who thought it up should get real sick and become a hospital patient - not at his own hospital where he'll be treated as a VIP, but somewhere where he's a nobody. He should be in traction or otherwise basically immobile, thus requiring a bedpan. In other words, he should be completely dependent on nursing staff for his every desire or need. Perhaps then he will appreciate what a nurse is really for.
Or, his loved one could be saved from death or disability by nurses. Then he might begin to catch on.
Where was the DON when this idiotic decision was made? Are they maybe "cozy", you know what I mean?
And even if it's not a nurse but a nurse's aide whose time is taken up with this ridiculousness, that is still completely wrong because it will leave the place short of the aide's valuable and true service - bedside care.
Be scared, good people of Oklahoma. Be very scared.
Nothing against the obese, but the last thing these 2 obese women in the video need is cookies. Why don't they get some carrot sticks rolling out to these folks instead?
Yeah, there's another consideration..........what kind of message is this hospital sending people when they not only DON'T discourage bad dietary habits, they actually contribute to them? Like Vito said, neither of the female patients featured in the video need cookies, and frankly, if people feel well enough to eat cookies, they don't belong in the hospital!!

castlegates,
I'm sorry. I meant to quote the person talking about germs! I think it was my kitty walking across my laptop that made me quote you instead. :heartbeat
