How far did you have to go to take your boards??

i'm just curious how far everyone had to go to get a pearson testing center.

tomorrow i am driving 3 and a half hours to go to virginia to take mine. there were no appointments in north carolina for like, 2 months solid.

i booked a hotel room and am taking fiancee and kitty cat along for the trip. i can't believe though in how huge this state is (there is like 9 pearson centers) that i have to drive to virginia!

I live in the Hudson Valley area of NY and the first time I traveled to Albany, NY which was about an hour and a half away. The second time I traveled to Somerset NJ, which like others I couldn't get a date until the beginning of 2009 and didn't want to wait. It was about an hour away.

When I took my NCLEX-PN, I traveled 60 miles to a testing center. Strangely enough, about three years later, I moved about a mile away from that same testing center. I used to get an eerie feeling everytime I went around that place!

Tested in Wilmington...about 2.5 hours away. Mostly because they had an earlier test date and time. I wanted to test early in the day since that's when I test best.

The closest testing site to me is literally 30 seconds from my job. They are in the same business park. When I heard that I wondered if there is any significance to that (good or bad)...
