I met with an advisor at my CC today to set up my pre-req's. Here's what we came up with.
1st Semester Spring 2011
-Biology
-Chem.
-Psych.
-Speech...only online class I was able to get this semester.
2nd Semester Fall 2011
-A&P I
-Sociology
-English
-Nutrition
3rd Semester Spring 2012
A&P II
Microbiology
I've been out of school a LONG time and this is my first time taking college courses so I have no idea if this is a good schedule or not.
I don't have any kids, but my hubby will be away for work all week and only home on the weekends so I don't know if I should keep my part time NA job or not. Money shouldn't be TOO much of an issue. Oh, and my school commute is 1 hr. each way.

Chem is killer, but overall you will be fine as long as you throw in the effort. Is it possiable to make your first semester just three classes and take psych during your last semester so that you have a light first semester (not that Chem is light, but its in a good spot)?
Student4life, I was hoping that I would of ended up with one less class during my 1st semester, but the adviser told me that the A&P II and Micro together were going to keep me quite busy on their own so I just left it as he suggested.

Can you take the Psych or Sociology as an online course during the summer? Just wondering if that is an option...

I have not taken a class here but I have read good things on here about EduKan. I think that schedule looks OK...are any of the classes on the same day? could save your time and gas....

It is a very standard full time schedule. I think you've divided it out very well. Most people can handle it while working 10 to 15 hours per week if they don't have much else on their plate. Don't be too afraid of it because of how long you've been out of school; usually returning students make up for any academic rustiness with simple maturity (maturity as in responsiblity, ability to prioritize, and such).
I'd want to keep the NA job for the experience and exposure.
Have you looked into CLEP? It may or may not be easier than taking a class but it does offer flexibility. It might save you some miles if you can then fit the other classes into fewer days per week.
Thanks everyone for your feedback. I guess I'm just a little nervous because now I've got it all laid out in front of me FOR REAL, if you know what I mean.
I will be traveling to the school Mon. thru Fri., even though my Chem and Psych are on the same days. I'm thinking of letting my job go since my manager has already mentioned that she wants us to work a minimum of 24 hrs. a week. That's going to be just too much and I'll never get to see my husband.
I have an interview at a local hospital tomorrow for a NA position. They may be willing to be more flexible with hours, or maybe I can work out something with them to work during the summer. I'm not too worried about getting medical work experience under my belt as I've already got 9 years working experience as a MA to put on my resume...but regardless, of course the added NA experience is nice as well.
