I am new to allnurses, and see alot of LPN's. I am just wanting to know the significant difference between LPN and LVN. I am starting school the 21st of Aug.:icon_roll
I wonder why there is a different title in a few states than the rest of the country. I live in PA an they are called LPN here, but i think i would prefer LVN.
Specializes in med/surg, telemetry, IV therapy, mgmt.
There's always gotta be somebody that's different. California has to be right up there when it comes to odd stuff. LVN (Licensed Vocational Nurse) it is in California. But, it still is the same as an LPN. As Shakespeare said:
