Most of the Dr.'s I worked with were super nice. (I mean everyone's nice level goes down a bit when things are stressful/busy, but generally they were cool.) I had one that'd pick on me a bit, and wasn't terribly nice. At the time I was 21 yrs old, working in the ER at nights doing admissions. I don't even remember what he'd say really, just was condescending mostly, would make fun of something I'd say, who knows, I barely remember.
Finally one of the ER nurses (a friend of his) told him (in front of me) "Would you lay off of her John? She's just a kid." His face flushed red, lol. I don't think he was on me 'cause he was a Dr., I think it was just his personality to be kinda high on himself, and its possible he didn't realize he was being that mean to me (unprofessional of him now that I look back, but at the time I didn't know.) But I think it's just like any profession really, I didn't really notice that Dr.'s as a "breed" acted differently.
The TV shows are all soap-opera-y and condensed/exacerbated drama. They're not that realistic, the few that I've watched.

I see all those TV shows like Scrubs, and Nip/Tuck and I was wondering are docters all bitchey in real life like that? :angryfire :angryfire:balloons:
Its my B-day on the 22nd
Happy birthday!
I wouldn't worry too much, pretty much everything on TV and in movies is overdramatizied, exagerrated, or flat out inaccurate. There's going to be bad apples in everything, but because they are specifically called bad apples obviously their the minority. :)
