How would you compare?

How would you compare taking A&P and Micro at the same time to the rigor of nursing school?

Maybe the time committment required is the. But Nursing school still requires so much more of you. You also have to think differently. When you get accepted to and start Nursing school. They'll whip you into shape real quick. Everyone needs it, no matter how smart you are.

Its really apples and oranges.....

However, I would say Nursing school is much more challenging then taking those two courses together.......

Impossible to compare really. A&P and micro are stand alone classes. Nursing school is a comprehensive program designed to change the way you think and to teach you the beginnings of how to act. A&P and micro are memorization classes. Nursing school is all about application. The nature of it being a little time consuming would probably be similar, but the level of stress and commitment felt is totally different.

Thank you for your input.

Definitely comparing apples to oranges but it is doable if you decide that it is.

The biggest difference is that in nursing school you have clinicals, which requires a whole different skill set than taking and succeeding at academic classes. Personally, I found the classes in nursing school less academically challenging than the prerequisite courses, but I found clinicals way more challenging. You're dealing with people at their worst in some ways (sick, in the hospital, and often cranky and not very nice to you), and it took me a while to grow a thicker skin and learn how to deal with that.

Hope that helps!
