Hi everyone!
I only work three days a week, sometimes four. Everyone is always asking me if I have another job or why don't I work more! I know it shoulnd't bother me, but it makes me feel lazy! I have two young boys and work second shift. I enjoy the time I get to spend with them. I could work more, but truthfully I choose not too. I find life hectic enough as it is. Still, I do feel guilty when people ask me why I don't work full time!
I can't stand people-I work with a middle age divorced woman who is always fighting for overtime. Then she comes in dragging and moaning and checking her temp every half an hour because she feels like she "may be coming down with something" When I turn down OT she makes a crack about that. I did not choose her path and I don't comment on it so what makes her think she can have an opinion on mine? I regularly have to fight the urge to tell her something about herselfHi everyone!I only work three days a week, sometimes four. The great thing about nursing is the option to work different shifts .Part time , Full time, 8 hours, 12 hours, weekends, M-F. Yeah for nurses and nursing for giving us the ability to set schedules to please us. I am thankful for my PRN and part time employees because they prevent burnout for my full time employees. Nursing is stressful -- work the shifts that make you happy so you can provide good care to the patients.
