How do you clean when you really don't want to...

I sit here in my messy house:uhoh3: . I have no desire to clean. How do you other moms motivate yourselves to clean when you are bone tired? It is odd, I sat at school on a computer all day writing 2 big papers. Why do I feel compelled to come home and sit on the computer? I guess I will go do something, I just caught myself editing my post into APA format:nono: .

Sunday is cleaning day at my house. THANK GOD for 24 hour shopping at Walmart and Publix! I do the shopping on Saturday night between 11:30 & 1 AM, go home, get to bed.

Sunday morning it's washers to the wall! I do all the laundry, cooking for the week, and cleaning of bathrooms. All wipe downs in any room other than the bathroom are the responsibility of the teenage drama queen that eats and lives free of charge. She has to wipe all surfaces-which includes mopping and vacuuming. She knows the rule, "if you move your arm any direction holding either a paper towel, a regular towel, or an applicance handle she owns it" I put on my rubber gloves and start in the bathroom, I put clorox and water in the whirlpool tub and let it run for 10 minutes. LOVE TO USE THE DISPOSABLE TOILET CLEANERS!!

I can't believe i forgot to post this one!

To dust baseboards, i put on a pair of old cotton socks, spray the left bottom toe area with Endust, and run it on the baseboards. My toes fits perfectly, and my back doesn't hurt. (Although this is to be done before sweeping the floor.)

I think you're as much a clean freak as I am-but you do it MUCH more efficiently!! :rotfl:

I take used dryer sheets and run them on my baseboards (by hand-Marie snicker). They have something in them that makes the baseboards shiney and picks up all the dirt. I'd fight someone if they tried to take my Clorox floor sweep/mop and my Mr. Clean wall sponges.

Sill looking for the ultimate room freshner...any suggestions are welcome.

Geez, as I write this, I realize, I really need to get a life!

An open box of dryer sheets make a car smell great.

I bought a candle warmer and that is my home freshner. You take your typical big jar candle and set it on the 'burner' of the warmer and it melts the wax. Excellent candle scent, and none of the black residue that burning a candle by the wick causes.
