ALL required documents were sent to CA BON last June 2006.
Do I get a receipt or some sort that they have received my application?
Is there an email address where I can reach them aside from calling them?
Getting worried since its been two months now, just wanna make sure
my papers are in process.

I read a thread in Philippine forum, that usually eligibility to sit for NCLEX in california is 4-6months.
yes and I very much aware of such processing time.
however, i wanted to know if there is a way i can follow up via EMAIL
if they indeed CA Bon already received my application papers 2 months ago, which up to know haven't got any.
Do I usually get a receipt notice?

I have some questions regarding on the requirements of NCLEX..
I' m about to graduate and I want to know if i need to take the local board exams here in the Philippines in order to take NCLEX.
I've asked a lot of people here in the Phil. and some in US. Some say I need to take the local board exams after I graduate but others say that I don't need to since I already have Visa
Can i directly take NCLEX after I graduate college?

I'm not so sure how to answer your query .... what kind of VISA do you have anyway?
If I were you, take your nursing board exam ... it's also a way of reviewing for the NCLEX .
I don't know the pre-requisites for taking the NCLEX, but this link might be of help. It's a chart of nursing licensing requirements for different states.

there are States that doesn't require one to possess a RN license from his own country in order to sit for NCLEX....I know a friend who never took the local exam and yet able to sit for NCLEX....
if you have an immigrant visa, then you have no problem....if your visa is non-immigrant, then you must take your local board as it is one of the requirements for Visa Screen...
sent my personal documents via FedEx and my university sent it through LBC.
both were confirmed delivered using the tracking nos.
but my Qs is, does NCLEX normally sent a letter/notice that they have received my request application after 4-6 weeks delivery?
well if you have complied with all the necessary documents and the courier says it's been delivered ...then there's nothing to worry about. guess it's just a matter of waiting for now ....
i was browsing through the ncsbn website and saw this:
candidates will need to supply the street address, city, state, territory or canadian province where they want their registration and scheduling information to be mailed. the state, territory and canadian province abbreviation’s are included in the nclex candidate bulletin. if a candidate chooses to provide an e-mail address than all correspondence from pearson vue will arrive only by e-mail. if a candidate does not provide an e-mail address all correspondence will arrive through u.s. mail.
if a candidate does have an e-mail address they should provide it during the registration process only if they wish to receive all subsequent correspondence (confirmation of registration, att, and confirmation of examination appointment) from pearson vue by e-mail only. if they do not provide an e-mail address all correspondence from pearson vue will arrive only through u.s. mail.
could have been easier if you supplied an e-mail addy so you just have to check your inbox every now and again ....
thanks jrhyle and future USRN..
hmmm.. all i have is tourist visa that is up to 2009.. and i may graduate 2007
so the question is, can i not take the local board and use my tourist visa for my advantage and go straight for NCLEX?
and also i have an uncle in Los Angeles who can help me get in their Hospice because he is the president. is this a factor?
pls help me because i don't want to take the local board exam.. hehehe and also the reason why i don't want to take it is because the last local board exam(2006) in the Philippines had a leakage. this is a big issue and the future batches may be affected.. so in order to avoid being linked to that issue, i plan to take NCLEX right after i graduate
thanks and peace out...
Well, a friend of mine took the NCLEX a long time ago, she had a tourist visa but she was already an RN then .... but in your case leooo, since your uncle is a bigwig, i don't find any problem about you getting a job over there but it pays more if you got the proper qualifications .... you're one lucky guy!
ohh.. so what advice can you give me? do i directly take nclex? how? hehehe. i guess i don't have a problem with the job.. but how can i get the license faster? sorry if i ask many questions.. i really appreciate your replys.. take care and God bless
