How bad will a repeat

Published

Last summer I register for A/P but did not go to the class. The teacher was suppose to drop me,but she did not. I just took it and got an A. How bad is a repeat

In most schools the A will be balanced against the F. You should ask if you could get an administrative change to have the first grade removed, but they probably will tell you that it was your responsibility to drop the course.

A repeat is not bad as long as you don't try to repeat all your pre requisites, which it doesn't sound like you are.

At the school I am applying for a repeat is not bad at all.... I am retaking A&P because my grade was not good enough the first time. They said that they replace the grade with the highest one. :)

Thank you. I tried to get it removed And told them how I was out of country, but they cared less. They told me it was my responsibility. I guess I learn a lesson and thank good repeats are not bad

Yeah, even if a teacher states they will drop a student for nor coming to class, they don't actually have an obligation to, and the resulting grade is your responsibility. Always drop.

How bad it looks depends on your school. An F on your transcript never looks great, but some schools don't factor it in if you've retaken it or wil average the two graces together. There isn't anything you can do about it now, anyway. Just do your best when you retake it!
