Hello Everyone, just Aced A&P1 and super relieved about it. I have heard A&P 2 can be harder for some people. How did you study for A&P2? How did you change your study habits for A&P2?
The only thing I think I can try for this one is draw things out for A&P2 more.
Chapters range from Endocrine system to Reproduction. I am only really worried about the Endocrine system.
I wouldn't stress about the Endocrine system, as of all the systems in the body, that one is mostly memorization and NOT complex pathways that require critical thinking. My A and P were two different classes in different semester, but I thought that the hardest two systems to learn about were circulatory (specifically blood pressure) and urinary (kidney function and its role with the regulation of blood pressure).
Everyone is different you have to remember that, so do not get stressed that other people said A&PII was harder, because, you do not know how you are going to react to the material.
Try to block all the negative talk out, and focus on you!!! Good luck!
In my opinion A&P 2 was easier but I'm not sure if it's just me. What I did differently in A&P 2 was that I took practice tests I found on the internet to help me get a feel for the material better. I also came up with test questions in my head that I could probably expect on the test. The more questions you anticipate, the better you'll do.

Thank you! I have tried writing out questions over and over the past few days. I have been looking over the tables our instructor hinted at big time. I think I'll be fine with the cardiovascular system lol. I have definitely done better overall on these quizzes than I did in A&P1 (though still got an A), and I'm hoping that is saying something. Off to finish studying :) I will be happy if I get a B on this test. I'd like an A, but my whole class isn't feeling this test tomorrow haha. I feel like we're all nervous because she hasn't taught A&P before lecture wise.
I had a break of about 5 years between the two, but I still remember both very clearly. For me, A&P II had a lot more hands-on work. For example, I had to dissect a fetal pig as well as kidneys of some other animal. In A&P I, we were more focused on learning about the skin, body sections, and memorizing the nerves and the bones. In my case, A&P II was much easier because we had to do more stuff physically, but it wasn't as much memorization.
Like Jennie K, my A&P I and II covered the same systems to the same extent we had the anatomy and physiology of the system at once. My A&P I and II only differed in the sense that they were covering different body systems. I personally think that A&P I was more to digest. The earlier chapters were on chapters that you needed to understand to understand the upcoming body systems.

Like the previous posts, A&P II is much more physiology and they want you to know why things are the way they are. I study a lot every day, even weekends, no exceptions. I am not sure if "harder" is the right word, but it just takes more time to learn the parts of the systems and then add on the specific ways everything works. Write note cards, read each chapter twice (once for the big picture and a second time for the specifics). Maybe it seems harder than A&P I since I am taking it in the summer, but I love this class and am really enjoying learning about the body systems!
