Houston Winter 2019 Nurse Residency Programs

Just wanted to provide a place for updates for the December grads for nurse residency programs in Houston! Coming from out of state I definitely don't want to miss anything! So far I've applied to Methodist and Harris Health. Still waiting for Memorial's, Chi St. Luke's, and HCA's to open. Does anyone have suggestions of other places to apply? Looking for adult critical care or intermediate positions.

Baytown! I originally had Sugarland as my first choice but changed it to Baytown because I really want to work in the NICU.

I understand. I really wanted to work in CVICU, but I decided not to switch to the TMC location.

I heard from Memorial Hermann Children's Hospital today to see if I'm still interested in interviewing on Match Day, so if you are still waiting for an email from MH be hopefull because they are still sending out emails :yes:

Does anyone know anything about CHI St. Luke's hospital? I've heard a lot about Memorial and Methodist but not much about that one

I have not heard from them nor TCH. I've only heard from MH, Methodist, Harris Health, And MDA

I applied but no updates. I don't think they actually send emails check the portal on your application status and it will let you know if you are still being considered or not picked.

So quick question, is everyone's Match Day going to be held at Memorial Herman Southeast Hospital or to the hospitals where you are applying to?

Did they call you back after you sent them the forms signed?

No they did not, I submitted everything last Saturday so I am guessing that I was not invited. I wish they would not have sent me the forms to sign if they were not sure if I was a strong candidate for Match Day.

Mine is held at the hospital I applied for, MH Children's Hospital

Same. I got called monday and did the paperwork and the behavioral assessment that same day. She told me that she would call or email me back by Thursday and nothing about interview. But she did email me back saying they based our qualifications based on our first choice.

Hello guys I applied for MH sugarland as my first choice and recieved a call back for match day. I applied for MH TMC in the fall and didnt get the job but I'm not giving up. Just keep applying and pray about it TMC locations are very competitive so look into other hospitals if you can because I applied to Methodist. MH and St.lukes and didnt get the job so I'm looking at other locations
