Houston Winter 2019 Nurse Residency Programs

Just wanted to provide a place for updates for the December grads for nurse residency programs in Houston! Coming from out of state I definitely don't want to miss anything! So far I've applied to Methodist and Harris Health. Still waiting for Memorial's, Chi St. Luke's, and HCA's to open. Does anyone have suggestions of other places to apply? Looking for adult critical care or intermediate positions.

I applied for the nurse residency at Houston Methodist Winter 2020. I had a skype interview (I live in Michigan) on 10/9. I think the interviewer said I would hear back in one week, but maybe she said two. Has anyone heard back? When I check my application online the status is still "submitted." However, when I search the job ID number I used previously to apply, the job does not exist. My previous communication and the website suggest that I will be notified if the position is filled, but I haven't been notified. I just need to know if my heart has been broken so I can move on!

hey there! I know this is an older thread but i’m planning on applying to Houston residencies once I graduate. I go to school in ohio but my husband is from houston and we want to move there as soon as I graduate. what was your experience applying from out of state? were you still in school when you applied?

I know this is an older thread but I just wanted to put this on here in case anyone sees it.

I got into St Luke's at the Woodlands for a Medsurg position. The residency position does not start until February, but I just wanted to start asking around. How was the telemetry exam? What kind of material did you use to study for it? Also, how was the Medsurg exam?
