Houston Winter 2019 Nurse Residency Programs

Just wanted to provide a place for updates for the December grads for nurse residency programs in Houston! Coming from out of state I definitely don't want to miss anything! So far I've applied to Methodist and Harris Health. Still waiting for Memorial's, Chi St. Luke's, and HCA's to open. Does anyone have suggestions of other places to apply? Looking for adult critical care or intermediate positions.

Those were for the fall so I applied to most hospitals for the spring

Im trying to stay out of the med center lol my bf works there and traffic is a nightmare. Plus from what he tells me parking is expensive so I would rather stay out of the med center for now.

Did anyone attend the prescreening for Methodist? I did, but did not ask when will we hear back if we are selected for a second interview. If you know, could u please share?

They asked basic questions like "why did u apply to the blank position; why do u want to work for Methodist?" And other questions... Very easy and laid back :)

They asked behavioral interview questions

The only locations I saw were TMC, Woodlands, and Willowbrook, but I wasn't really looking around much. There may have been other recruiters from different hospitals other than the ones I noticed. It was held at Methodist in Katy.

I asked and they said they would be making phone calls hopefully next week and then the 2nd round interviews would be a week or two after that. They want to make all offers before Thanksgiving. This was from the TMC recruiter.
