Houston Winter 2019 Nurse Residency Programs

Just wanted to provide a place for updates for the December grads for nurse residency programs in Houston! Coming from out of state I definitely don't want to miss anything! So far I've applied to Methodist and Harris Health. Still waiting for Memorial's, Chi St. Luke's, and HCA's to open. Does anyone have suggestions of other places to apply? Looking for adult critical care or intermediate positions.

The follow up is what I mean like I sent the follow up and still no response I called the recruiter and she said give them a couple of weeks but it's been almost two weeks. Idk if they're still waiting on people to respond to the offers from the career fair

I think you should still keep faith. I had a friend who didn't get an offer from a hospital until late December and the position start date was January. After she accepted the offer she got two more in January. She felt it was last minute also but she was thankful. I believe if you haven't gotten a rejection email then you are still under consideration!

I just got an offer from HCA Clear Lake Regional Medical Center yesterday for Cardiac Med Surg. Anyone else going to be there?

I didn't receive the letter yet. They said they would Email it to me in a few weeks.

So I emailed Harris Health Systems and this is the reply I got:

Interviews have not yet occurred for either of the locations.

If you are selected to interview a nurse recruiter will contact you.

Hi, I've heard that people have heard back from Methodist, but has anyone heard back from the Methodist Willowbrook location? Also, has MD Anderson opened their application for Spring yet? Thanks!

I heard from a couple of classmates who are doing their capstone there that they are not opening their application for the Spring until next year or the time when every new graduate has taken their NCLEX. I really was looking forward to apply there but after hearing this and checking up on their applications, I pretty bombed out about it.
