Houston Residencies Summer 2019!!

Can you believe applications have started opening up? Anyway, just an early start for everyone to discuss.

I'm planning on applying to Harris Health, Memorial Hermann, Methodist, & TCH, and I will be applying to multiple locations for each. I'm trying to decide if I should branch out and apply at some places out of state or not since I want a very demanding specialty, but I'm not necessarily ready to uproot my family just for my residency. I'm open to suggestions or thoughts from others who have been through this part of the experience already.

@nurse2019houston I also got that email on Monday saying they hadn’t yet started contacting people for leadership interviews. I wonder if that is still the case ?

Has anyone heard back from MH-TMC Pedi IMU in terms of offers?

I got an email that told me I didn’t get a spot in the nicu and that “At this point in time there are no more GN positions with TMC or Children’s Memorial Hermann.”

I have not heard back yet! I’m assuming if we didn’t get it, we’ll get a rejection email to know for sure.

Has anyone heard if general pedi has contacted anyone after interviews?

Yeah on my way out, they told me as early as today but as late as April 1st!
