Hiiiii everyone! I know this is a little early, but I am graduating in May 2025 and will be applying to Houston Nurse Residencies. I didn't see a forum for this 🙂 since applications haven't started in the next few weeks, so I just wanted to make this for more info! Does anyone know all the application opening dates for TCH, MH, Methodist, etc.? And any advice/insights/interview tips related to nursing residencies?
Nurse4theworld said:No it's was for CVICU/IMU. I had mine on Monday. Did your unit specify if there would be two round of interviews? Also was yours like a panel? I had 3 managers and the nurse educator on the floor.
I think I was group 2 for interviews but they didn't specify. They said I should hear back in 1-2 weeks. It was 2 managers and the educator they were very nice.

I guess both. My first choice was the CVICU and my second was PICU. However when I got an email inviting me for the interview it said CVICU/IMU. Both the CVICU manager and CVIMU manager were present at my interview. It was a little strange because the CVICU nurse manager didn't ask me any questions, only the CVIMU nurse mangers did (they had the day and night shift managers there for the IMU but only one nurse for the CVICU, and then the nurse educator).
I spoke to a friend and she knows someone who works there and she said that new grads usually start at IMU then float to ICU. But I'm not sure
