Houston Nurse Residency Winter/Spring 2024

Hi everyone! I will be graduating with my BSN this semester and I'm applying for residencies in the Houston area. I already applied to Houston Methodist but wanted to hear about other programs that might be interesting. Best of luck!

I've been preparing with situational questions. But not sure at this point tbh because I'm not really sure what they're looking for. Thought I did great with memorial CVICU but was not given offer. When's your interview?

They didn't provide feedback so not sure what I could've done different. But thank you!  Can't remember if I chose PICU or NICU

Anyone heard back from Houston Methodist? I interviewed with the ED at the interview event on Oct 3rd and havent heard a peep since. Also, I interviewed with memorial hermann for PICU and did not get the job. My info was sent to my second choice but have not heard anything else since the rejection email. Starting to get antsy and honestly frustrated with this whole process...

I went to this interview as well and haven't heard back. I emailed the HR for a follow up but IDK at this point. I have friends that were hired in the TMC location and they got their offers within a week. Which HM location did you chose? 

Has anyone here gotten an offer from Houston Methodist TMC yet after the october 3rd interview?

I'm planning on moving after graduation in December. Moving makes this whole thing much more stressful because I kinda need a job LOL. I know I will end up where I'm meant to be so I'm just holding onto that for now until something comes my way.

I've sent an email to the recruiter before and never got a response, so I'm not even expecting one at this point. This whole process is so frustrating. I wish they would send a courtesy email at least if you're not chosen so you're not left waiting for nothing. I've already graduated and passed the NCLEX, so all I need now is a job! LOL. Goodluck on your moving process. Wishing all the best for both us and praying we get the result we wanted!

Methodist: I attended and interviewed for OR position and still waiting to hear back. Based on last cohort, people received offers by Friday of the following week via email late at night. So maybe we will hear something by tomorrow.

Harris Health: Received interview invite this morning for IMU/MedSurg position. Originally applied for NICU but never heard back for that.

Memorial: Waiting to hear back regarding interview for 2nd choice.

for those who got offers, can you guys share some tips when it comes to interviews? I'm not sure what I'm lacking in or im just not a good fit for those units

HCA recruiter just called me and I set up a virtual interview with the unit director at Clearlake!!
