Starting a thread about Houston Nurse Residency programs that open this month/next to start in June/July!

Not sure about other Methodists, but I was on the phone yesterday with the recruiter from Methodist Sugar Land. They wanted to interview me for the ICU position that was my first choice, but I told them I already accepted another offer. They're still going forward with interviews as far as I can tell.

Do you know which location? What about for people who already got offers?

I’m not sure if it’s all locations, I just have a friend who had her interview cancelled last second and they told her they will contact her if the pandemic slows down and they decide to still have the Summer residency. It was for TMC.

I don’t think that’s true. I was just called yesterday to finally schedule my second interview with Methodist.

So far, just Methodist, the rest are considering leaning that way. Most hospitals have postponed their interviews, the only people still conducting interviews now is HarrisHealth, UTMB . I’m still hopeful

really Houston methodist hasn't cancelled my interview, they actually rescheduled me I think yesterday ? did they sent out emails or did you call someone who told you?

They cancelled interviews today , last second. So I think this is a sudden new thing/order

The recruiter finally called me yesterday to schedule again and said they are finally back on track to keep interviewing us. BUT, Methodist in San Antonio (different hospital system) has indeed postponed their program. So maybe that’s what people are talking about? Not sure

Yeah it’s true that they delayed the residency ? I just got a call about it from HR and we’re supposed to get an email about it later today. I interviewed yesterday and my interviewer warned me that it was a possibility. When I got the call from HR just now they told me they already had my scorecard so if/when they resume the program again for Summer then they’d just review that, and continue forward if I was chosen but they said if they decide to continue with Summer at a later date they’ll call people back who haven’t interviewed yet
