Houston Nurse Residency Summer 2020

Starting a thread about Houston Nurse Residency programs that open this month/next to start in June/July!

Hi everyone, just an update hoping to be helpful. I interviewed with MH Katy L&D/mom baby today. It was a panel of 4, and they asked about 4 behavioral situation questions. My interview was scheduled for 30 min, we ended at 25 min. They told me they weren’t sure on a timeline when I would hear back because of covid but to be patient. They did mention they were interviewing 5 people but of course I failed to ask how many are they planning to accept. My guess would be 2. My advice is to prepare, be yourself, and be confident! I interviewed with MH Katy for ICU position... I asked about when would I hear back and I was told by the educator that this week, maybe even Wednesday! fingers crossed! Good luck everyone ?

Best of luck to you! Mine was w general peds just like your friend so I am not sure how similar L&D will be, but I am sure you'll do great!! I have a friend who really wanted L&D, but didn't get it ?

We were asked so many resiliency type questions and why would we be a good fit for the unit.

Interviewed today for MH katy, they said decision by Wednesday

They asked behavioral questions, but sometimes they wanted you give examples related to your clinical experience ?

Medsurge! I'm getting more and more nervous! I was fine up until today... to be honest I have been almost blah about it, because I'm trying to down play it... I'm trying to not get excited until I actually have an offer. I'm also waiting to hear back from HCA
