Houston Nurse Residency Summer 2020

Updated:   Published

Starting a thread about Houston Nurse Residency programs that open this month/next to start in June/July!

I’m so nervous again, I checked mine and it says under review still. When do you guys think we will hear from memorial hermann? Like a definite yes or no?

Match day is next Monday and Tuesday so I would assume by Friday at the latest. That is if things are still going as planned, IDK if they are changing anything because of the virus.

Did anyone happen to hear from St Luke’s today? Have they called anyone this week? Or were the only offers that y’all know of from Friday

It wouldn’t surprise me if they decide to do a Skype interview instead of a physical one

For the people who went to prematch day for methodist (intervened for both of their choices), and got an email later on for another prematch for another one of their choices

did y'all ever get a follow up email on when that prematch will be?

I wanna reach out to ask but when I call the hospital to get transferred I end up getting sent to voicemail

Hi all!

I received an offer from a hospital, and they have many shift differentials and a unit differential as well. I was offered day shift (which I wanted), and at this hospital they pay a night shift differential for the hours you work from 2:45pm to 7:15pm. This seems pretty great, since I was not expecting to get any sort of night shift differential at all being on days. Has anyone heard if this is typical for most hospitals?

Specializes in Bachelor’s in Biology, Bachelor’s in Nursing.

I have never heard of that. I would say that is very uncommon. Snatch that offer up!

Hi there!

Has anyone heard from Texas Children's? I received an email late last week from the GN recruiter that there would be more of an update this week!

Just curious what you guys have heard!

As for Memorial Hermann, I have not gotten an update either and when logging in my 1st and 2nd choices are still just "received"

My daughter spoke with recruiter from memorial hermann yesterday, he talked with her about phone or virtual interview

Did the recruiter call her? Or did she reach out to them?

Haha yes when the HR recruiter was going over the offer with me, I had to ask her a couple times to be sure that applied to me. I feel like I would have heard about that from nurses if some other hospitals I did clinicals at offered that.
