I got an offer on the pediatrics department from there on Friday!

Congrats!

What was your interview like and how long did they take to get back to you?

I am interviewing later today ?

I did the Mark Klimek class thing. I have an old recording from 2009 that has been passed on from cohort to cohort in my nursing program. Only a few of the things are out of date, but a majority of them are fundamentals that never change (like electrolyte imbalances and ABGs). I also did UWorld for practice questions. I took mine at the end of July and passed at 60 questions (minimum questions at the time d/t covid).

The biggest tip he gives is that all you have to do to pass is do slightly better than average. When you remember that, it really helps lift a lot of the pressure off. ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS PASS! He also has a lot of strategies for answering questions.

If you are interested in the mark klimek class, I can email it to you.

Yes please that would be great! Thank you so much for responding!!

I just emailed you! ?

After weeks of multiple applications and interviews (and lots of waiting in between) I was offered a position at CHI St Luke's at the Woodlands location a few minutes after my interview yesterday.

I currently live in Houston and I don't think I can do a one hour commute to work.

If anyone else is moving to the Woodlands area and needs a roommate please reach out to me!

You can email me at [email protected].

That’s super awesome congratulations!! That happened to me a couple weeks back! What unit will you be on?

Hi, Anyone who accepted a job offer with HCA know the night shift differential? I'm in between two job offers from different hospitals and making a pro/con list. HCA or Hermann (not TMC)?

Hi! I accepted a job with HCA and the day shift is $28.50 and night shift is $32.50. Four dollar difference! ? hope this helps!

I just received an offer from the pediatric unit at Woman's with HCA.

Anyone else starting at this unit?

Has anyone accepted an offer with HCA and had to later decline for another position in a different hospital? I'm wondering what the consequences are. I just received an offer and have to respond today but I'm waiting to hear back from other places.

6West! I'm also looking for a roommate cause I plan to move to the Woodlands since I currently live in Houston. Let me know if you're interested.

Late to the party (probably because while I have already earned an ADN, I am still in the process of completing a BSN)!

I got a call a few days ago to interview with HCA West ICU for their Spring 2021 residency (fingers crossed it goes well and maybe there will be a job offer)!

I see the job ad simply mentions that the program begins 1st quarter Spring 2021. Amongst those who have already accepted residency positions with HCA West (from what I could gather in this thread, those included would be brse, jenhxo, kdub, nain, and Futurenurse_97), what have you been told about when the didactic instruction begins?
