Houston Nurse Residency Spring 2021

Hello! I created this thread for those graduating in December who are applying to nurse residency programs in Houston for the Spring 2021 start date. Good luck everyone!!

Oh okay thank you. Did you schedule in person or FaceTime/Skype?

I actually wasn't given those options, this is what my email said:

"I received your information for the HMH OR nurse residency program. If you are still interested in the Jan 2021 OR residency program, there is a 20 minute pre-screening phone interview that must take place. Please select the date and time listed below for a phone screening interview."

Oh. See, I scheduled it through the email they sent out with the job application IDs.

Did you do your pre-screen with someone named Tracy?

Usually, They are forwarding our resumes to Nursing manager, and if they are interested, they will scheduled an interview. But they can also cancel it, it happens to me from memorial herman

I'm so confused. I just got an email and text reminder for my appointment tomorrow with a Tracy Tillmon. It has no info besides "GN - Interviews Houston Medical Center (Tracy Tillmon)"

I replied to the reminder email and got an automatic reply from Tracy Tillmon with

"Hello and Thank you for your email. Over the course of the next few weeks, I will be conducting Graduate Nurse interviews. Responses to emails and voicemails will be delayed. I apologize in advance for any delays. I will address all communication at my earliest convenience.

HR Recruiter - Clinical Programs"

I have also emailed the grad nurse careers email and just received an automated response.

So I'm not sure what to do. If I don't get any response then I guess I will just head over to TMC early and try to find out where I'm supposed to go or I will wait for a call.

Has anyone gotten a response from Harris Health?

From my understanding, I know that they are on a hiring freeze right now, but is anyone waiting to apply for MD Anderson's Nurse Residency Program? Does anyone have any insight on their application process?

You're so right. I don't know how I forgot they stated that. Thank you!

I am, along with TCH too.

I'm not sure how their application will go though.

But they are posting several RN jobs and they even have a virtual screening

I received an offer from Houston Methodist- Willowbrook yesterday! Good luck everyone, and congrats to everyone who have gotten offers!!
