Houston Nurse Residency Fall 2024

Hi! I'm graduating this August and plan on applying to positions in Houston in women's health and pediatrics. I wanted to create a thread so everyone can stay up to date on applications/interviews for the October 2024 Cohorts. Good luck!

If it's anything like the one I went to during the Spring: it's just one interview. When I went, it was labeled a prescreening but it was a regular interview. All the interviews were held at the same place and you sat in the area corresponding with the location you are interviewing at. You'll be called in to interview with someone. Each location will let you know when and how they'll get back to you (it varied, I know some locations reached back within a few days, whereas the location I applied to reached out 2 weeks later).

Can anyone who applied to the nurse residency go event if they didn't send any questionnaires or like that?

No, you have to have an appointment. Someone did try to go to the one I went to without an appointment (originally they sent out invites, something happened and they had to resend them and had everyone reschedule, this person didn't know) and she was told they couldn't see her.

Has anyone reached out to St. Luke's for an update about when they'll be getting back to us for interviews?

Is Methodist still sending out emails? Will they do what MH did and send second invitations if they don't fill all the units?

I applied to almost all locations and different units at each one. did any one send an email asking for updates in this process or if all emails have been sent out

I would email the nurse residency email just to check in. I know people said they might be reaching out Monday/Tuesday but I'm unsure. The email is on their website

I reached out to recruiting today and was told they've postponed the next steps of the process until Wednesday morning
