Houston Nurse Residency Fall 2024

Published

Hi! I'm graduating this August and plan on applying to positions in Houston in women's health and pediatrics. I wanted to create a thread so everyone can stay up to date on applications/interviews for the October 2024 Cohorts. Good luck!

I still haven't heard back. Me and one of my classmates are still waiting for an update. My application still stays under review.

Makes me feel a tiny bit better too. I haven't heard anything either

Did anyone hear back from HR regarding texas children's residency opening?

Hopefully we hear something by the end of the day.

Just received an email from St. Luke's. It's a Google survey where you fill in what unit and campus you want, and they ask some questions from what I remember. Heads-up, only the Woodlands is hiring women's according to their email.

Heard back from MH pearland-rejected!

St. Lukes reached out about submitting transcript

Are there any more hospitals that haven't started applications for fall yet?

Specializes in 2 years experience as PCT/Nurse Extern.

For those that have interviewed with Memorial Hermann this week, what kinds of questions did they ask?

Anyone interview with MH Greater Heights this week and have heard back yet?

Was anyone able to attend the Harris health zoom? Did they say what the next steps are or when we would hear back? Or what units are available

Basically the main thing that was discussed was the process of the application. They begin with internal applications, snap students, and external applications are looked at last. This usually happens between the middle to end of July. They also said for sure no women services units at either hospital is hiring for this cohort. The ER at Ben taub is not hiring for this cohort either. They haven't heard back from the other units. It seems that if you are not an internal employee, there is a slim chance of you getting a spot

Has anyone heard from MMH yet after first round interviews?
