Houston Nurse Residency Fall 2021

I wanted to start a thread since Memorial Hermann is having their Pre Match Open House.   Was anyone able to attend The Woodland's zoom?   I missed it and was wondering which units would be hiring?

I think the dates varied depending on the department. I want to say that most are closed.

I called HR this morning.  They said there is not a set date for the positions that they open as a department has an opening.  She said to check every other day on the career page. 

Any word on Texas Children's?

St. Luke's sent me an email about next steps some time last week. It included a survey that had to be completed by July 19. And then it included some dates:

- Invites for the event will be emailed starting the week of July 26th.

- Our interview event will be held on August 12th. 

- Invited candidates will be allowed to self-schedule a 30 minute interview time.

- Two virtual general information assemblies will be offered on August 12th to meet the nurse residency educators and recruitment team.

I did receive that from St. Luke.  LOL I thought it had to be completed by June 19.  So I rushed to do it.  I can go back and edit responses though. 

I need a better system for keeping up with what I've applied to.

So I've applied to St. luke, memorial hermann, HCA,

Any other hospital that have open apps now that have pediatrics?

I just heard back from St. Luke’s, but nothing from Houston Methodist. Has anyone heard from Houston Methodist?

If anyone is looking in other states at children's hospitals, Arkansas children's hospital just posted a lot of residency positions.   Search RN 1 and they will come up.
