Houston GN Residency programs 2018

Hi! I just wanted to start a thread to get info and keep each other updated on the GN residencies available in the Houston area. So far, I have applied to TCH, Houston Methodist, and Harris Health. I also signed up for Memorial Hermann's Pre-Match Day taking place this Saturday 2/17/18!

Hi! Is this the event where they will be doing interviews on the spot March 27-29? If it is, good! I saw an ad for it on FB but wasn't sure if it was for experienced nurses only.

I'm not sure what that one is-but the one I got an email about is on April 4th and it's for graduate nurses.

They're still doing pre-screening interviews. I did my pre-screening interview on 3/3 and just received a phone call for an interview yesterday. If you haven't recieved a phone call yet, I'm pretty sure you will eventually so don't get your hopes down! They're doing hour slots, that's the reason it's taking longer to call individuals back for the regular interviews.

Hello,

Interest: Woman's Health.

So far I have applied to TCH and received the rejection letter the beginning of March. I have applied to Memorial Hermann Memorial City and received a rejection letter Friday, March 16th. I have not heard anything from HCA as of yet. Methodist held a pre-screening session 3/1 which I interviewed for Sugarland as my fist choice and West as my second. I received an invitation to the second round of interviews tomorrow.

Has anyone heard of HCA yet?

It's for all of them! You get to interview with the hospital & department of your choice-but you can only do 4 total

I just received a job offer for Memorial Hermann Greater Heights on the L&D floor! If anyone here gets accepted into their women's services program let me know! Good luck on everyone's job search!

Awesome thanks!! I'm going to try to get a hold of the recruiter. I requested that my application be moved from the Feb start to summer start so wonder if that has anything to do with it.

And congrats on the offer from Memorial Hermann!! So exciting!! Makes me nervous about next week. I hope I do as well as you!
