Houston Community College Fall 2014

Well, the "wrong" form that I got stamped was my 2nd time seeing the doctor. I did not know that we had to do that form, so the 1st time I only asked him to write me a letter. So when I knew about the form, I did call the doctor's office to just have him filled and signed it but they SAID NO, I have to see him, pay $$$ and everything... so yeah... nothing is going easy...
I called Ms. January today but no one picked up the phone. I plan to go straight to school and ask about everything, but does anyone know if she's there all the times or do I have to make an appointment? I don't want to go up there and no one is at the office.
Btw, what is her office number? Help please!

wow what the heck!! that's ridiculous. i'm sorry to hear that:(

you don't have to make an appointment to speak to anyone. their number is 713-718-7230 or you can go up there and ask them. i believe their office is in the 3rd floor, i just can't remember the room number. call them up first, i wouldn't bother going to the office unless you have to physically show them paper work or something.

So anyway, are you guys all done with those CertifiedProfile? Where did you get the Medical History form? From that list of 14, Influenze and Handbook form are not due by Aug 6, right?

I am done with everything except Insurance. I'm applying for the Harris County Gold Card since I cannot pay for insurance, does anyone know if they take that?

Also, you are correct. Influenza is not due until later, and the handbook will be given to us at orientation. :)

Well, well, good news for me guys: I called Ms. January and she override that Physical Exam for me. I am all good now! I am so happy!!!

@berryberries: I don't know about Gold Card but a lot of people has it so I think they accept it. Why don't you give Ms. January a call too?

Also peculiar news, everyone! I submitted my physical examination to the 'Medical History' tab and interestingly enough, it was accepted! So make sure to submit your physical to Medical History and it should go through! :)

Hey- do y'all know how many hours a day are the clinical classes? I saw they start at 7am or 3pm.

I found out- I think they are 8 hours long. They offer a 7am class and a 3pm class.

How's everyone doing on their papers and everything needed to turn in?

that's good to know! i'm still torn whether i will take a morning or evening class. :/ i'll probably take a morning class since i can take the bus but i'm not a morning person at all lol

i'm doing good! did you submit your physical as your 'medical history' form for certified background?/ i was sooo surprised they took that lol! it was honestly a shot in the dark haha

Ms January said registration starts August 14. Wow- Walgreen's has flu shots!? I thought CDC didn't even come out with them until August or September. I will call and see. Thanks!
