Houston Christian University (HCU) FNP or PNP

Published

Hello! I was writing to see if anyone has applied to the HBU FNP or PNP program. I am looking into my options since a hiccup in my personal life disallowed me to accept another schools offer, and found the HBU program which is all online and now accredited. The website is very vague in terms of application process and admission requirements, however I am very curious on the offerings the program has. I have reached out to the school, but have yet to hear from them and would love the insight from other current/prospective students.

Choose TWU, you’ll get a rounder education in my Opinion. HBu is a lot of self teaching like 95%

Thank you for the feedback! I think you are right! I really appreciate it!

I was in the PNP program and I left after the second semester. Best decision I ever made, once you go to a better school you realize how bad HBU (HCU) school really was.  It started with orientation (in-person) which is very much is a waste of time. Most of the orientation was the director and staff lecturing us on things other students have tried and they will not accept or help with. It was very negative, them stating how they was treated badly in school so consider your self lucky basically because you have it slightly better mentality. For the classes that was exam based, you mainly got the chapters and test dates. I took online classes at UTA so I am used to self study but this program very different than that in organization, usefulness of instructors, and course material given.

2024... Is anybody attending their FNP program this year or next year?
