Hey everyone, I have been reading many threads but unfortunately I have not found one for HBU for Spring 2017, so I thought I would start one. I am applying to their BSN, as my first degree, I am a transfer student. The following are my stats for my HESI and prereq courses:
HESI Overall: 94
A&P: 96
Vocab: 94
Grammar: 92
Math: 96
Reading: 92
Critical Thinking: 950
My science prereqs GPA: ~3.65
All prereqs GPA: ~3.4
Overall GPA: ~3.2
Has anyone heard back anything at this point? I called the school and they let me know the admission decisions should be coming out within these next two weeks!
I signed and submitted their letter, however I am having second thoughts, I hear that their program is extremely difficult (I know there will not be an easy nursing program), however almost half or less than half of the students they start with end up graduating. That sounds a little weird to me! I know people may drop out but to lose almost half of the starting class!? How about yall? Have you decided? I am really waiting on UTH they along with HBU were my top choice. I signed it with HBU bc I do not want to rely on UTH and then end up with without any program if they do not accept me
Hey I know some of you also applied to UTH they have updated their portal system!! Alot of people have been getting their decisions!! If anyone wants to check!!!
I have a friend that graduated from UTH this year and from her class a lot of the ppl she started with either got kicked out or stayed behind. My friend from Hbu told me its do able you just need to time managed. I definetly think UTH is a bit harder just Bc they cram everything to three semesters since their fourth semester is just clinicals. it's also just 15 Months. And like you said there's no easy nursing program. Im going to continue with HBU!!! I'm doing my fingerprints tomorrow for my background check

Hello, I am actually going to be applying for the Fall 2017 semester and I was wondering how long you had to wait from the time you applied to the time you got your answer. I am a transfer student as well - from HCC - and completed my pre-requisites this last fall semester, but because I only just finished Chemistry and Statistics, I wasn't able to apply for Spring. I have already applied to the school, but as the holidays have just passed, I haven't moved forward. If anyone is willing to share their experience in applying, it'd be greatly appreciated!!
@taraalain Email your advisor or call to see who it is and they'll help you out! I was given the email of a nursing advisor from them to email them so he could go over my documents and see if I was eligible to apply. He scheduled an appt with me the second week of September to sign something and after that he said it would take two weeks to hear Back but I heard back the second week of October I believe!
