I have a bit of a problem.. I am traveling to san diego and took an assignment at Scripps Chula Vista. My husband works at The Hartford insurance group and will be transfering as well. His office will be located in "Santee". Our problem is transportation. We only have one car. I know San diego has a bus line and what not.. but not through Chula Vista? I was thinking of housing close to Scripps so I could ride a bike or possibly get like a moped. I will be working 3-11:30p. Im only 5 foot and very petite. Will it be safe? Are there other transporation options? Any housing ideas? IM supposed to start oct 9th. I havent signed the contract yet and there was another position in la jolla at Thornton hospital doing 7a-7p. Would it be better to try and switch. I would rather not at this late stage. We just got married, sold all of our belongings, and just picking up and moving!!!
Any reply with some experience with the area would be sooooooo helpful!!
Thanks:nurse:

There is a Chula Vista Transit Service, and everything intersects w/the Trolley system. But, since you get out of work so late, I think you should consider looking for a small car.
If you lived w/in walking distance, could he drop the car off after work, walk home, than you drive home? Or, any chance he can pick you up @ night?
There are some nice little houses around that area, and some apts/condos--a variety. It's not the ritziest part of town, but I think you could find something liveable.
