Well it looks like my wife is going to accept a position at mercer and I'm looking at a position at Peidmont. We're initialy going to be looking for an apartment. What's going to be the best location to look in the middle between the two?

Hi Craig, welcome to Atlanta. There are a lot of apartments in either Buckhead, or the Atlanta/Tucker/Northlake/Druid Hills area which would suit you in terms of location. Now as for your pocketbook, that's another story.......

Check out Promove. It's a free apartment locator service. They work off the referral fees from the apartments. You could go there or either call them. I'm sure you could just search Promove and find some info. Good Luck!

Between Mercer and Piedmont would be downtown Atlanta or south Fulton. South Fulton county can be a tricky place so check out the apartments carefully.
The Mercer campus I'm thinking about is in northeast Atlanta near Spaghetti Junction. South Fulton would be nowhere near Mercer and Piedmont Hospital in that case. Is there another Mercer campus?
Mercer campus is around Clairmont, spaghetti junction, North Druid area but the nursing school is locatied on boulevard near Atlanta Medical. The Buckhead, VA highland area would be your best bet. Not south Fulton or downtown. Once again, I would check out Promove, they have a huge map on the wall to help out.

I was looking in the area and like Atlantic Station. I happen to be a big fan of new urbanism. Pretty reasonable compared to Denver. Walking distance to Publix and a bunch of resteraunts. Best of all right down the street from Ikea.

the nursing school is at Mercer now. They have been sicne 2002 i believe. It's called Georgia Baptist College of Nursing of Mercer University. No longer on boulevard. Just had to set that straight.
i thought she was speaking of mercer in macon.

Oh I forgot about Atlantic Station! It would be very cool to live there especially if you don't have kids. Great recommendation. But.........
woudn't the presence of the IKEA monster actually be a deterrent?
