This is a question that I think is unique to each individual. Some people have been diligent throughout their program and have a good grasp of the material while others studied for each test as it came up but only scratched the surface and weren't putting a lot into their study. I would think that one thorough run through a review book would be the minimum. Many people go with answering as many questions as possible, a few thousand if you can find them. Whatever gets you that pass notification is the right amount of study.
Some people are not at their best when it comes to something so important as the NCLEX because when you are in school your test is based on what you just got done with the previous week or whatever the time period was, NCLEX is the whole shebang, everything you've learned over the entire time.
yes everyone is different. it depends on you and your studying habbits what going in your life and motivation.
I graduated in Dec 2008. Started studying mid-January 2009. I waited till after school and partying. Then I studied 5-7 days a week for about 5-7 hours a day doing about 50-100 questions a day. Then I was able to do about 200-300 questions a day.
i hope this helps...
