Hello,
is here somebody working as a nurse in the netherlands? I´m coming from Germany and want to become a nurse in the netherlands, but I just don´t speak their language (I know - I first have to learn). I want to know how the training is there for the nurse (for example how many years you have to study) and what school education do you have to have for this?
Please help me. I speak German and Englisch.

Hey Grisu.
Did you ever find any information on how to become a nurse in Holland. I'm looking but it's hard to find information.

Hi there,
My name is Claudi and I am a registered nurse in the netherlands at least I used to be. Still have my license.
Its a four year course and back than the study was difficult as they wanted to train us to beome doctors. However, I believe that the cirruculum has been changed the past 6 or 7 years. It seems to be much easier.
I got a 49 year old sister who is doing the course right now but she reccons thats its easy but failed her subjects twice so i want take it so lightly.
If i can be for any help just let me know.
Im preparing to sit my NCLEX exam soon as I get my ATT.
My goal is to become a Registered Nurse in the US.
Cheers
and good luck
Hey Claudi,
unfortunatelly I called many offices in Amsterdam and they told me that only courses in Dutch are available.
The only option is to study Dutch during a "one year teansitional year" and then join the dutch courses for 4 years.
Even though I fell in love with Amsterdam I few years ago, it requres too much time.
Thank you for your answer.
Have a good day.
