Hospitals paying for Nursing Students

U.S.A. Tennessee

I have heard that hospitals sometimes pay for student to complete their nursing degree in exchange for a commitment to work for them for a designated time after graduation. Where or who could I contact or find information about this. How do I get started?

I would start at a hospital you like or think you might like to work at and contact their nursing recruiters. You may want to do this at several hospitals and see what they have to offer you. Be picky!

Baptist college here in memphis does this. You are offered "tuition deferral" and a guaranteed job when you sign a contract during your 3rd year of school. You have to fulfill a work commitment of 2 years at any Baptist hospital. You must interview for the "tuiton deferral" and be selected.

Ask for the hospitals HR dept and they can guide you to whom you would need to talk to.

You can also try methodist University hospital. they are very good with this. They will start paying for tuition after 3 mnths of your date of employment. Call HR 516-7000 and let them know what you are trying 2do. Do you have any experience in the healthcare field?...certification or anything of that nature? Just let the nurse recruiters on the website know and maybe u can get were u want 2b. Hope i answered your question. Good Luck!
