Inova Fairfax Hospital is close to Falls Church, and Inova Alexandria is in Alexandria (obviously, LOL).

Thanks for letting me know. Any idea if they are both good hospitals to work for?:specs:

I work for an Inova hospital, but not for Fairfax or Alexandria -- I'm further out, working for Inova Loudoun. I'm a new nurse, but I love where I work! :) Benefits and pay seem competitive ... but like I said, new nurse. I have little comparison in that regard!

Fairfax is the only level one trauma hospital in northern Virginia. The Magnet facilities include Fairfax, Loudoun, and Reston. The pay will be the same unless you choose to work in DC. The Washington Hospital Center is the highest paying along with Children's. The first being a union hospital. Both are in a very dangerous area of DC. You'd have to get a DC license since it is not a part of the Compact States agreement. I suggest trying Fairfax. They currently have in excess of 170 nursing positions available. In depends on what specialty you're looking at also. Traffic is major here so I would consider your location seriously. If you want to go where it's beautiful and a bit more calm...try Loudoun, Fair Oaks, and Reston.
