What makes you think that a hospital is going to hire a foreign grad nurse when graduates from here aren't getting hired? That's the reality, too many graduates and little jobs available. Also if you don't have a valid visa already then that's going to make it even harder. Check out Suzannes threads on foreign graduates seeking employment in the US.
richo_006 182 Posts Nov 3, 2008 Im sure its hard for a foreign educated nurse like myself to find a job..so its better for us to passed the nclex...and most especially to have valid or proper documentation from DHS. I will be having interviews soon for RN new graduate programs at UCLA, USC and CEDARS.With less than a year of experience fromthe Philippines I know I have to start fresh inhere and that's a good thing because I wanted to start buiding a good foundation here in california. Imhoping that an equal opportunity will be given for us. Don't loose hope for foreign educated RN's..we'll soon find our place. Good luck to us. God bless

They replied and told me that they will schedule me for a teleconference with their CEO based in California. I will talk to him on Friday. I just want to ask if anyone tried it here too so I may know what to expect. I search the web for more information about them but I only found few forums asking the same question. Or if anyone knows other institutions who are willing to sponsor a foreign nurse please share them here. Thank you!

fragiledoll05 21 Posts Nov 23, 2009 HELLO FRAGILE DOLL 05so have you heard from this agency..thank you!!Yes, I already had my teleconference interview with the CEO of Affiliated Care Services. They're offering an EB3 sponsorship and you will be assigned in a Nursing Skill Facility of your chosen state or where you passed the NCLEX-RN exam. There is no placement or agency fee here and the expenses from your foreign examinations and visa screen certificate will be reimbursed once the process is complete. The only problem is that because of the retrogression they admit that the process will take 3-5 years of waiting. Hope this helps.Goodluck to all of us!

NurseCubanitaRN2b, BSN, RN 2,487 Posts Nov 23, 2009 I checked out the website. I have to say that I'm leary of this company. I hope that someone has been placed by this company and has wonderful things to say about it. There's another agency that is accredited and I think it's like whitedove or something. There was a post about it a few months back. Good Luck
