Anyone know of any hospitals in the OKC area that provide a good tuition assistance program?

I know Mercy has a good scholarship program for students in the RN program. I think its like $2000 a semester... BUT you are expected to commit to at least a year of employment - just depends how much you borrow. OU has something for current employees, but they do offer sign on bonuses when you work there as an RN which you can then apply to student loans or whatever else. I'm sure there are more. Hope this helps.

I know Mercy has a program like that for nursing students. I know two students who did the Mercy program and when they graduated neither one got into the area of their choice so they were dissapointed a bit with that.
OU also has a program but it's different. As an employee (you don't have to be an RN, you can be a nurse partner, monitor tech, etc) they have a $4000 sign on bonus for 2 year commitment or $2000 for 1 year. I did the 2 year one for $4000 and don't regret it. I'm very happy there :) If you sign on anytime before you become an RN it will be tax free and you can use the money in any way you want (school, new car, savings, etc).
Most of the big hospitals have all this information online or you can call the HR department.

do you just have to wait to be admitted? I am in my LPN program now, but plan to go straight into my RN program August. So I'll apply in March, hopefully have my letter by May/June. I'd be nice to have that money set up before school starts and not have to worry about more loans
You will have to wait until your officially admitted into the RN program.
Woohoo I got a scholarship through mercy out of ardmore, and they are covering my basics too!
