Hospital for Special Surgery PACU Nurse Residency Program

Published

Hi everyone,

I'm interviewing for the PACU Nurse Residency Program at the Hospital for Special Surgery in NYC tomorrow. I know its last minute, but I was wondering if anyone who has specifically participated in this program in the past recalls the types of questions they asked in the 'panel interview', or for anyone who has partaken in group-style interviews- any advice would be extremely helpful!

Thanks!

Elle Schiff

hi,

I am interested in this program also. How did your interview go? Hopefully you got it! :)

It went well- I actually got the job, but didn't end up taking the position. It was two rounds of interviews, one was a panel interview. Let me know if you have any questions. :) Good luck!

@Elleschiff, congrats on getting the position! I was wondering why you didn't take it? Did you have any pacu experience before? And also can you give me some insight on what questions they asked you during the interview?

Hi Everyone!

This may be a stupid question but can anyone explain to me how the nurse residency program works? Like I know it is 1 year but are you only guaranteed a job for that one year? Like afterward are you a guaranteed RN on whatever floor/unit you have the residency on??????? I just graduated and I am interested in the residency but kind of would like to have one that its a guaranteed job after....please let me know ASAP as im trying to look for jobs now and am especially interested in HSS

hey elleschiff, do you mind giving me your email, i have some questions about the interview! thanks!

Hi, can you please send me more info to: [email protected], do you have the contact info or email of anyone in charge of this program?
